Alexandrina

Sandra “Alexandrina” Don-Arthur is a multi-award winning Ghanaian makeup professional who wears several hats as a beauty mogul, beauty content creator, skin expert and makeup artist.
Affectionately called Alexandrina by both fans and clients alike, Don-Arthur has built a stellar career in the beauty industry both home and abroad. This and many more feats earned her a spot on New York Fashion week as a makeup artist for Maybelline New York alongside her mentor, Pro Nigerian MUA, Bimpe Onakoya, who described her as a “delight to work with at all times”
Little Sandra’s love affair with makeup begun in the early 90’s as she observed her biochemist mother apply mascara, lipstick and foundation to her flawless skin for different occasions.
Her entry to the beauty industry and the limelight was preceded by a gap year she took after returning to Ghana to pursue a Computer Science degree at Ashesi University. During the period she worked as a production assistant for a production company that created homegrown African content for South Africa’s DSTV.
It was at this point, Alexi Glam was birthed as she came to face to face with several aesthetic errors in the content she was vetting, and quickly decided to take courses to equip her with the skills to correct these aesthetic errors as a means of earning extra income.
A dynamic and creative makeup artist, whose signature works can be spotted across editorial shoots with Glitz Magazine, Glam Africa, Dream Magazine as well as the Haute Canoe Magazine, advertising campaigns, bridal beauty and primetime TV shows such as “@ Home with Joselyn Dumas”, “Keeping it Real with Joselyn Dumas Season 1”,” Jim Iyke Unscripted” and ”The Dzigbordi show” which are seen daily across the continent and as far afield as Canada & Europe, Sandra has climbed the rough ladder of success and made her way to the zenith of the beauty industry by sheer dint of hard work and passion.
